WHAT TO EXPECT
Our caregivers are available for a range of hours, with the lowest level a four-hour minimum and up to a 24-hour, live-in caregiver. After your consultation, trust us to make the necessary arrangements and work on a customized personal care or assisted living plan for your specific needs, such as for companionship, homemaking, or transitional care.

Assisted, Independent Living
The goal of Assisted Care is to provide clients with options to remain vital and active in their own home with a personalized level of assistance that is right for them. This could include help with shopping, cooking, light housekeeping, driving to and from appointments. Our caregivers strive to help the client achieve the highest possible level of good health, self-care, and independence. Typically an “Aide or Companion” is used for this level of care.

Home Health
The goal of Home health is to provide a higher degree of assistance in the clients own homes. Studies show that recovery is quicker when the client is in their familiar surroundings and their normal routine. These clients usually have the need for a Home Health Aide or a Certified Nurse’s Aide
who have training and understanding of basic medical conditions. These care givers assist clients with a higher level of basic care to so they can receive care they need, while remaining as independent as possible. Our goal is to maximize the level of independence and minimize the effects of disabilities and illness. In addition to shopping, cooking, light housekeeping, transportation to/from appointments HHA’s/CNA’s typically can assist clients with medication reminders and monitor, record vital signs such as blood pressure.

Memory Care
Safety and security are key components for clients going through memory loss. Care is designed for these unique and special care needs to allow the patient to remain in their own home with familiar surroundings and routines while providing a degree of freedom from physical and chemical restraints. Caregivers understand the special needs of dementia and memory loss. They are trained with the philosophy that primarily safety is an issue and clients benefit from flexibility and creativity so they can enjoy the highest quality of life available. Usually a Home Health Aide or a Certified Nurse’s Aide
are used at beginning memory loss stages, as memory loss begins to progress and clients need assistance with medications or specialized medical care a Licensed Vocational Nurse may be required.

Skilled Care
Typically clients who are transitioning from hospital, post operative procedures, skilled nursing or rehab facilities benefit from skilled care. Registered Nurses
are able to complete physical assessments, perform post hospitalization care including wound evaluation and dressing changes; cardiac and respiratory assessments, medication instruction, administration and follow-up, physician ordered at home therapy, restorative nursing, and patient education/teaching. This may be a short term need as post surgical/hospitalization or longer term in lieu of being in a skilled nursing or rehab facility.

Staffing Relief (MD Office, SNF, Rehab & Detox,) Research Study Support and Other RN Relief Situations
As a Registered Nurse owned and operated Home Care Company, Lescoulie
has typically been able to recruit and supply RN’s to Physicians and other
Health Care Organizations to assist with short term staffing needs. We
have the capacity to provide RNs who have worked in MD Offices, post surgical
recovery, SNF, Chemical Rehab and Detox Facilities as well as Clinical Research
Study support.
